Sage is a herb said to promote blessings, fertility, happiness, healing, longevity and protection. It also helps in strengthening the memory and brings wisdom, hence the “Sage” or “Wise-man.” Sage is used in cleansing and purification rites, spells and magick and said to guard against the evil eye and ward off evil spirits when added to amulets, incense smudge and sachets.
