The Healing Smudge is a blend of various herbs, barks and leaves that are burnt on a lit charcoal to create the smudging smoke that helps to purify the space and the energies around the person and removing negativity and disharmony in general. If you are using the smoke on someone else ensure they give their permission and they can choose to sit or lie down.
Take care to not inhale the smoke, rather use the feather to guide the smoke around the body or area needed. Ask your Spirit guardians or Animal spirits to help work with you.
The smudge herbs can be thrown into the ceremonial or ritual balefire to call upon the energies of each of the herbs and Spirit.
