Botanical Name - Foeniculum vulgare
Common Name – Sweet Fennel.
Folk Names – Fenkel, Foenum, Wild Fennel.
Parts used – Flowers and seeds.
Extraction method – Steam distillation.
Magickal use – Fennel oil has long been used for its energies of courage, encouraging good health and digestion, gaining confidence, protection and strength in the face of adversity. It uplifts the mind and brings a positive outlook and the scent is said to help improve the memory although I do not recommend sniffing it in its undiluted form as it may induce headaches and nausea. Added to washes it is an ideal oil to wash away negativity, help banish ghosts and other unwanted energies as well as purify the space where needed. Add to oil burners, sachets, herb blends and baths. Comes in a 10ml glass dripulator bottle, label may differ from picture.
Cautions – May cause mild skin irritation and headaches if sniffed to often in its raw form.
