Aka Betony, Bishopwort, Common Hedgenettle and Purple Betony.
A flowering plant of the Mint Family, Lamiaceae, it is used for protection and purification purposes as it is said to prevent frightful Goblins, terrible sights and nightmarish dreams. Wood betony was also planted in churchyards to prevent ghostly activities.
