Paua is a species of Abalone (Haliotis Iris) and is only found in the seas around New Zealand. The iridescent colouring conjures up the sea and deity who govern over this very special shell. This Paua Shell is in its natural form and has not been well polished on the outside nor the inside however has been cleaned and lightly polished on the inside. Approx 15cm in length x 11cm width. Sourced sustainably from Chatham islands NZ.
