BLACKSMITH AND IRON
The Blacksmith was one who forged items out of metal by the use of heavy tools and heat and also by casts. The Blacksmith is a person who creates objects from iron or steel by forging the metal. Hand tools are used to hammer, bend, cut and otherwise shape metal in its non-liquid form. Usually the metal is heated until it glows red or orange as part of the forging process. Over time many objects took on superstitions and had much lore and magick attributed to them, the Horseshoe, nails, keys and even the anvil itself took on a whole new meaning as people believed that these items could cure sickness, protect them from evil and bring luck. The Blacksmith is certainly an Alchemist if not a Magician.
