Candle Holders
Ideally candles need a holder to keep them secure, to prevent them toppling over. (Candles should never be left unattended, even if in a secure candle holder) The ideas for holders are endless, wooden, metal iron, decorative or plain. Candle snuffers are handy and do have a history behind them. It was considered an insult to the Fire Element to blow out a candle, other than a birthday candle, so snuffers became a way of putting out the flames, while appeasing the Gods. It also was favored due to the fact that wax wasn´t splattered about when blown on, and no one burnt themselves when using their fingers to distinguish the candles flame.
