(Achillea millefolium) Aka Bloodwort, Milfoil, Sanguinary, Soldiers Woundwort, Staunchweed and Yarroway. Native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. The genus name Achillea is derived from the mythical Greek character, Achilles who reportedly carried it with his army to treat battle wounds. Add yarrow to healing, love and courage spells and it is an ideal herb used in divination and vision work. Add to sachets and incense blends to help remove negativity and evil influences in general.
