The Day of the Dead also known as El Dia de Muerte is celebrated in Mexico and other countries with the celebrations taking place on October 31st, November 1st and November 2nd. This is a time when death is celebrated, encompassed and honoured, a special time for all. Families get together to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. They take trips to the cemeteries and tidy and decorate the gravesides of their loved ones with offerings of trinkets, other gifts and favourite foods.
The glass skull contains approx 50gm spice mix that can be used as an incense, added to sachets, as an amulet or sprinkled onto the graves of loved ones, animals included to honour those who have passed. The Skull, Calavera can also be placed on the altar. Skull stands approx 10cm and has a cork stopper.
